4th of July

This was Baylee's first 4th of July, Last Year she was three days over due on the 4th of July!!!! I wasn't a happy girl... We had so much fun, we went to the Kaysville parade, just like we do every year. It seemed like Baylee really enjoyed it. She loved looking at all the floats and collecting candy with her cousins, Bella, Finn and Elli. Then we went to the Layton carnival and Baylee ate her first snow cone, which of course she loved. We all had lunch and then watched Bells jump in the jump house, which was so funny because when her turn was over she refused to get out.
Later that night we went over to some old friends for a BBQ and fireworks, it was so fun to see these friends agian and catch up. They all have kids, so it made it so easy for everyone to hang out. We did some fireworks in the street and of course these were pretty lame fireworks so all the dads had to go build some of their own:) baylee did so good and played so well with all the kids even though she was the youngest one there. She is always so social and friendly to everyone. We came home just in time to watch the series of cities light off their big fireworks, we watched from our roof and then made a fire in our fire pit and lit some of our own. It was a perfect first 4th for Baylee:)

Camping up at Hades

Well we just got back from a big camping trip with Ryan's family, we all went up to Ashley National forest to camp Hades. We are so lucky to have my grandparents, who let us borrow their big motor home. It makes it so much easier to go camping with Baylee, there is everything we need in there. We had a lot of fun, we played in the river, went on long walks, watched the dogs swim in the river, cooked good meals and played games. It is so beautiful up there, moutians and green all around.
Baylee took her first steps up camping, it was so cute and exciting, she took four in a row and then another three, then she realized what she was doing and got mad and sat down. Now when we try to have her do it again she knows what we are doing and doesn't even try.. It was exciting to see her do it and I know she is not long from taking off on her own now:) Baylee did so good up camping, she is so amazing to me, she is so laid back and is comfortable anywhere, she never hesitated a second before she jumped right into the dirt and played, she went swimming in the freezing cold river with all the grown ups, she played in her wagon the whole time, she ate all the camping food and she even napped and slept really well in the motor home.
I have to tell you about this place up there, it is called Defa's, it is a Dude Ranch with little cabins where people can go camping and fish and ride horses, it has a little cafe and saloon. So it was only a couple minutes away from our camp ground and you could go there and pay three dollars and take a shower..... So me and my mother in law went up there a couple of times and it was the creepiest place ever.... it reminded me of the movie, "Chainsaw masacre" because when we got there, it was like the whole town stopped and stared with there two teeth smiling at us. It was like they were all related and killed or ate all the campers that came in there. No matter what time it was they were always sitting in there lawn chairs, in their overalls, drink in one hand, cigarette in the other, just staring.... CREEPY!! but we got in and got out, we took the fastest showers and probably barely survived!!!
It was a fun trip, too short of course, but glad to be back home. Can't wait for the next one.

June 2009

So back in June we took our first, kind of bigger family vacation with Baylee. It was our celebration for Ryan's birthday, Father's Day and a late Mother's Day, we bought a fun filled package to San Diego! Our Package included: a five day unlimited passes to SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo and The Wildlife Park. Our favorite was definitely SeaWorld.... we went there 3 times and saw all of the shows there, some of them a couple times:) The Zoo is absolutely amazing, I really can't believe how big it is!! We spent all day there and still didn't see everything!
Baylee did so good for being so far out of her norm for 5 days. She did awesome on the plane ride, no problems with the altitude and ears popping, not even a sign of them. She did although thought it would be funny to have a blow out on the plane ride home, let me remind you that airplane bathrooms don't have changing tables!!! We had to rig up a pretty sorry looking crib canopy in the hotel room so that she could sleep, but luckily it worked pretty good.
We went to so many different place in such a short amount of time: we went to Old Town san diego and shopped, we went to a really big swap meet, too bad we flew there, because I could of bought a lot of cool things. We hit Lajolla Beach and saw all the seals, We hung out and had lunch at Mission Beach and we went swimming in the ocean at Pacific Beach. Baylee was fearless of the water and just started crawling towards the waves. She was so cute. I think we will have our hands full when she is a little bit older, She is a crazy one.
The whole trip was just perfect, I'm really glad we did it and hope that we can take Baylee back sometime really soon.

Baylee's Luau Birthday Party!

On July 11th, We had a big celebration for Baylee's First Birthday, We did it in a Luau theme, which turned out to be so much fun. We had it in our backyard, which was decked out in Luau decor, we opened our non-heated hot tub so all the kiddo's could swim, it was a crowded pool all day:) We set up a slip-n-slide, a kiddie pool and a ball pit, good grub, flowing drinks and lots of cake. Baylee was a little shy with her own cake, but she did dig in a little bit and got it all over the place. It turned out so good, the weather was perfect, hot but perfect for a Luau Party. We wanted to thank all our friends and family for joining us in this celebration and for all the wonderful gifts. It means the world to us to have such wonderful friends and family in our lives and in Baylee's life. She really loves all her fun gifts, we now have a pink baby swing in our tree, I take her almost every night in her new bike trailor, she rides her two new bikes and most of all loves her green wagon. She could play all day in that, in and out, in and out! Thanks to all. We love you guys.

July 9th, 2009

One year ago today July 9th, 2009 Ryan and I were blessed with the most beautiful little girl we have ever layed eyes on, Baylee Marie Waters. She is our pride and joy, she is the most amazing, loving, little one year old any parents could ever ask for. My favorite time of the day is in the morning right before I go in her room, just listening to her talk and play as she is waking up and the moment I have been waiting for all through the night and morning... I go in her room and every morning she greets me with the biggest smile and squeal. This is the moment that I look forward to everyday, it's just pure love, that is what it is, it doesn't get better than that. I love how much joy she brings to us, she is such wonderful addition to our family, she has taught me so much in as little as her first year. I feel like I am and want to be a better person because of her. Baylee is truely the light of my life and I am so thankful for her.
Also on this exact day only three years earlier, Ryan and I had the most beautiful wedding day anyone could ever ask for. Everything about that day was perfect, we both always say that we would replay that day over and over if we could. Ryan is my very best friend and I am so lucky and grateful to have him in my life. He is such a wonderful, devoted father, it just melts your heart to see him and Baylee play together. It is so cool to watch a father raise and teach his very own daughter, there is really no words to explain the love. I am so thankful for all the hard work he does to make it possible to create such a loving home and for me to be able to stay home and raise our beautiful daughter. He is truly amazing to me and I love him very much.
So you can see why this day is so special to us and wanted to thank all our family and friends for celebrating with us.
